  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 9 lasagna noodles cooked al dente
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 2 green onions sliced, for garnish
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Sheet pan

Method

  1. Cook turkey bacon in a large skillet until crispy. Remove, crumble into pieces, and set half aside for topping.

  7. Layer the sheet pan with sauce, lasagna noodles, and ricotta mixture. Sprinkle with mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Repeat layers, finishing with cheese and reserved bacon crumbles on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize this recipe by using ground turkey instead of beef for a lighter option. Regular bacon can be substituted for turkey bacon. Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms to the sauce for extra nutrition. The smoked paprika is essential for achieving that authentic grilled cheeseburger flavor. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated for easy meal prep.
