Ingredients

For the Sliders
  • 12 Sweet Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 pound thinly sliced turkey
  • 1 pound thickly sliced halal beef deli meat
  • 6 deli slices Cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 pound beef bacon cooked until crisp
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
For the Garlic Butter Topping
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried parsley

Equipment

  • 11-inch rectangular baking dish
  • Large serrated knife
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • Sharp knife

Method

  1. Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat an 11-inch rectangular baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and yellow mustard together; set aside.
  3. Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally as a single block to create a top and a bottom slab. Arrange the bottom half in the prepared baking dish and evenly spread with half the mayo-mustard mixture.
  4. Layer the turkey and halal beef deli slices over the rolls, extending the filling to the edges. Place crisp beef bacon on top, breaking to fit if needed. Then add the Cheddar cheese slices over the meats.
  5. Spread the remaining mayo-mustard mixture onto the cut side of the top half of the rolls, then position it over the filled bottom half.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in garlic powder and dried parsley. Brush this mixture over the tops of the assembled rolls.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are browned on top.
  8. Let cool briefly, then cut sliders apart with a sharp knife to serve.

Notes

You can swap in different deli meats or cheeses to suit your preferences—try ham, roast beef, or provolone. Prepare the sliders up to four hours ahead, cover and refrigerate, then bake just before serving, adding a couple of extra minutes to the bake time if needed. Leftovers taste great cold or quickly reheated, and these sliders are excellent for casual gatherings, potlucks, or family meals. Use a sharp serrated knife to slice the rolls and the finished sliders for the cleanest layers and neatest presentation.
