A creamy, sweet, and indulgent fruit salad that combines canned fruits with Halal sour cream, marshmallows, and coconut. This no-cook dessert salad is perfect for potlucks and gatherings, where it's guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients
  

  • 20 oz pineapple chunks canned, drained
  • 21 oz cherry pie filling canned
  • 15 oz mandarin oranges canned, drained
  • 1 cup Halal sour cream
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts chopped, optional

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained pineapple chunks, cherry pie filling, and drained mandarin oranges. Gently fold together until evenly distributed.
  2. Add the Halal sour cream to the fruit mixture and fold in gently until all fruit pieces are evenly coated.
  3. Mix in the mini marshmallows, sweetened shredded coconut, and chopped nuts (if using).
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Store in the refrigerator for up to three days. For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream or light pie filling. You can customize the fruits based on availability - try fresh berries in summer or add mango for a tropical twist. If serving to guests with nut allergies, simply omit the nuts or replace with chopped chocolate for added texture.
