Method
- Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch casserole dish or baking pan. Set the dish aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon of the rosemary or thyme until fully blended.
- Dip each croissant piece into the egg mixture, turning to coat all sides, and place them into the prepared casserole dish until the dish is filled.
- Tuck the folded slices of halal turkey ham between the croissant pieces, then repeat with the Swiss cheese slices so both are evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle the casserole with shredded mozzarella (or Parmesan) and top with the remaining 1 tablespoon of rosemary or thyme sprigs.
- Bake in the center of the oven for 30 minutes, until the Swiss cheese is bubbling and the croissants are crisp and golden. Avoid overbaking to prevent burning.
- As the casserole bakes, melt the butter and honey together in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Allow the mixture to simmer, then mix in the garlic powder. Simmer gently for about 3 minutes, then remove from heat and transfer to a bowl.
- After baking, take the casserole out of the oven and immediately drizzle the prepared honey butter mixture over the top, making sure to cover the croissants generously.
- Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes
For best texture, use day-old croissants—they soak up the custard without turning mushy. You can layer the croissants, ham, and cheese a day ahead, then add the egg mixture and bake just before serving. Store leftovers in the fridge up to three days; reheat in a low oven to keep the edges crisp. Regular ham may be substituted for turkey ham if preferred, and maple syrup or agave can stand in for honey in the glaze. Serve with a green salad, fresh fruit, or warm seasonal vegetables for a crowd-pleasing brunch spread.
