  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 1/2 cup butter room temperature
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer

Method

  1. Ensure cream cheese and butter are at room temperature for smooth blending.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, and peanut butter. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.
  3. Add all-purpose flour, brown sugar, and powdered sugar to the mixture. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the dip.
  6. For best flavor, allow the dip to rest for about 30 minutes before serving (optional).
  7. Sprinkle additional mini chocolate chips on top for presentation, if desired.
  8. Serve with graham crackers, teddy grahams, pretzel rods, or apple slices for dipping.

Notes

This dip can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before serving for the best consistency. For a gluten-free version, omit the flour or use a gluten-free alternative. You can substitute almond butter for peanut butter or use dark chocolate chips for a more sophisticated flavor. For an adult version, add a tablespoon of bourbon.
