  • 1/2 cup ginger beer non-alcoholic
  • 1/4 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup or honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick plus extra for garnish
For the Spicy Citrus Ginger Mocktail
  • 1/2 cup ginger beer non-alcoholic
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz ginger syrup
  • 2-4 jalapeño slices seeded for less heat
  • 1 lime wheel for garnish

Method
 

For the Warm Apple Cinnamon Version
  1. Gently heat apple cider, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a small pan until steaming but not boiling.
  2. Pour the heated mixture into a mug and add the cinnamon stick.
  3. Top with ginger beer and serve immediately.
For the Chilled Apple Cinnamon Version
  1. In an ice-filled glass, combine lemon juice and simple syrup.
  2. Add apple cider and ginger beer.
  3. Stir gently and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
For the Spicy Citrus Version
  1. Lightly muddle jalapeño slices with lime juice for 10-15 seconds.
  2. Add orange juice and ginger syrup, then fill the glass with ice.
  3. Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
  4. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve.

Notes

Use fresh-squeezed citrus juices for the best flavor. Choose your ginger beer carefully as brands vary in spiciness. These mocktails are best enjoyed immediately while still bubbly, though base mixtures can be prepared 2-3 days ahead and stored in the refrigerator. Adjust sweetness and spiciness to taste.
