Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef sausage mild or spicy
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 10 oz Rotel drained (diced tomatoes with green chilies)
  • 2 tablespoons Halal Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley or green onions chopped, for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Large mixing bowl
  • 9×9 or 8×8 baking dish

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Brown the ground beef sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until crumbly, about 8-10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper (if using). Season with salt and black pepper.
  4. Mix until smooth, then stir in drained Rotel tomatoes, cooked sausage, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese until well combined.
  5. Spread mixture evenly into a greased 9×9 or 8×8 baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are bubbling and top is slightly golden.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley or green onions before serving.

Notes

For best results, use freshly shredded cheese instead of pre-shredded for better melting. The dip can be made lighter using turkey or chicken sausage, or vegetarian with plant-based crumbles. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, bread, or fresh vegetables. Can be customized with different cheese varieties like pepper jack for extra heat.
