- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sausage, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, biscuit mix, chopped celery, chopped onion, and garlic powder.
- Using clean hands, thoroughly mix all ingredients until evenly distributed. The mixture will be thick and sticky.
- Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on an ungreased baking sheet, leaving a little space between each.
- Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 15 minutes, or until the cheese balls are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.

These sausage cheese balls are best served with dipping options like marinara sauce, honey mustard, or ranch dressing. For a lighter version, substitute turkey sausage for the pork sausage. You can also add a dash of smoked paprika for extra flavor.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They actually taste even better the next day! Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 5-7 minutes until warmed through.
For a low-carb version, try replacing the biscuit mix with almond flour, though note this will change the texture somewhat.
