Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (or 325°F if using a roasting bag).
 - In a mixing bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, soy sauce, and water to create your braising liquid.
 - Place the beef brisket in the center of a large piece of aluminum foil or in the roasting bag. If using a bag, add the teaspoon of flour and shake to coat the inside.
 - Pour the sauce mixture over the brisket, ensuring it's completely coated on all sides.
 - If using aluminum foil, tightly seal the foil around the brisket to create a leak-proof package. If using a roasting bag, seal it and poke a couple of small holes for steam to escape.
 - Place the wrapped brisket on a baking pan to catch any potential leaks.
 - Cook in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour per pound of meat (about 3-4 hours total).
 - Once done, remove from the oven and let the brisket rest for 15 minutes before unwrapping.
 - Slice the brisket against the grain and serve with the cooking liquid as a sauce.

Notes
For maximum tenderness, look for a brisket with good marbling throughout. The fat will render during cooking, keeping the meat moist and flavorful.
This brisket can be prepared a day ahead and reheated—many find the flavor improves overnight. Simply slice when cold for neater portions, then reheat gently with the sauce.
Leftovers make incredible sandwiches! Store refrigerated for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months in an airtight container.
