Ingredients

  • 1 cup orange juice chilled
  • ½ cup grenadine
  • 4 cups cranberry juice chilled
  • 2 cups cherry soda chilled
  • Gummy vampire fangs or maraschino cherries for garnish
  • Red sanding sugar optional, for rimming glasses
  • Ice cubes optional
  • Food-safe dry ice optional, for spooky fog effect

Equipment

  • Punch bowl or large pitcher
  • Serving glasses
  • Stirring spoon

Method

  1. In a large punch bowl or pitcher, combine the cranberry juice, orange juice, and grenadine. Stir thoroughly to ensure the grenadine is fully incorporated.
  2. When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes (skull-shaped ones work great for theme, if available).
  3. Pour the juice mixture into the glasses, leaving room at the top for the soda.
  4. Top each glass with cherry soda just before serving to maintain carbonation.
  5. For an extra festive touch, rim glasses with red sanding sugar by dipping the edge in water first, then into the sugar.
  6. Garnish each glass with gummy vampire fangs hanging on the rim or add a maraschino cherry.
  7. For a dramatic effect, place glasses on a serving tray and add a small piece of food-safe dry ice to a separate bowl on the tray (never directly in drinks) to create a spooky fog effect.

Notes

For an adult version, set up a 'spike your own' station with vodka, white rum, or red wine options alongside the punch bowl.
Store any leftover punch covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, though the carbonation will diminish over time. Add fresh soda when serving leftovers.
For a creamier variation, try 'Dracula's Float' by adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each glass. You can also substitute half the cranberry juice with blood orange juice or pomegranate juice for different flavor profiles.
