Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to your meatball mixture or use arrabbiata sauce instead of regular spaghetti sauce. These subs can get messy, so have plenty of napkins ready! Leftover meatballs can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and make excellent additions to pasta dishes or even chopped up for pizza toppings.
For meal prep, you can make the meatballs ahead of time and freeze them after baking. Simply thaw and reheat when you're ready to assemble your subs.
