Method
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, and peanut butter together, stirring continuously until smooth and glossy.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
- In a large heat-safe bowl, combine marshmallows, crushed pretzels, butter cookies or graham cracker pieces, chopped nuts, and shredded coconut (if using).
- Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the dry ingredients and gently fold everything together until all pieces are coated.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spoon small mounds of the mixture onto it.
- Let cool completely at room temperature or refrigerate until set.
Notes
These candies are highly adaptable - feel free to substitute ingredients based on what you have. Potato chips can replace pretzels, any type of nuts work well, and dark chocolate can be used instead of semi-sweet for a more sophisticated flavor. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or refrigerate for longer storage. For gifting, package in vintage tins or decorative boxes. Pairs wonderfully with coffee, milk, or served alongside fresh fruit.
