Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 (3 oz) boxes lime gelatin Jello brand or similar
  • Whipped cream or whipped topping for garnish
  • Gummy worms for decoration
  • Candy eyeballs for decoration

Equipment

  • Clear cups (4-6 oz)
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Whisk

Method

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the lime gelatin and boiling water until the powder is completely dissolved.
  2. Add the cold water and stir to combine, allowing the mixture to cool slightly.
  3. Divide the green gelatin mixture evenly among 8-10 small clear cups (4-6 oz each).
  4. Place the cups in the refrigerator and chill until fully set, approximately 2-3 hours.
  5. When ready to serve, top each cup with a generous dollop of whipped cream or whipped topping.
  6. Insert gummy worms partially into the jello so they appear to be crawling out of the brew.
  7. Press candy eyeballs into the whipped cream to complete the spooky effect.

Notes

These Witch's Brew Jello Cups can be made up to 2 days ahead and stored covered in the refrigerator. For best results, add the whipped cream and decorations just before serving.
For a more dramatic presentation, place green LED lights underneath clear cups on a dark surface to create a supernatural glowing effect.
You can easily customize the color by substituting orange, grape, or cherry gelatin for the lime to match your Halloween theme. Sugar-free gelatin and unsweetened whipped cream work well for a lower-sugar option.
